Service as Action is an essential component to the MYP program. Students are tasked not with committing acts of charity, but instead working with their community to understand the needs and problems that exist. From that partnership students design projects that provide a hand up. Students learn about the value of community and how they can take an active role in it.
The MYP Service as Action program is a qualitative rather than quantitative program. Service as Action will be assessed and reported on through Managebac. Students will be assessed on progress using a three point scale, Excellent, On-Track, and Concerning. For further information, please access the guide.
