NOVA Elementary School program fosters an educational environment in which children are encouraged to work towards high standards of academic and personal achievement through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

The IPC provides the framework educators and students require to facilitate and embed an elementary school education which nurtures and develops global citizens. Literacy and numeracy skills and concepts form the foundation of the educational process at the elementary level. NOVA uses the US Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for both literacy and mathematics.

To ensure that every child learns to read, write and spell successfully, our teachers teach using the research-based, instructional strategies of Reading and Writing Workshop and Word Study which were designed by the Teachers College Reading & Writing Project at Columbia University.
