PreK End of Year Activities

This year our PreK 4 children undertook lots of activities. We had messy play and outdoor play with plenty of running, tumbling and rolling. We listened to stories, learning rhymes and songs, cutting and pasting, free play, and plenty of imaginative and creative play such as drawing and painting. Students developed important skills, such as emotional skills, social skills, early literacy development, listening skills, early math skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, communicational skills, etc. They were also involved in gardening, planting fruits, vegetables and flowers, dressing up, and pretending to be superheroes and princesses. Most crucial at this stage of their life is the development of appropriate manners, understanding the value of friendship, sharing, taking turns, responsible decision making and understanding of their own thoughts and feelings, and being able to relate to others. Vitally important over the last year has been learning about hygiene and its importance. We believe they’re now fully ready to move to the next grade level.
