Grade 3 Exit Point

Our student displayed the findings of their research across all the different subject areas – by transporting visitors back in time to Pompeii with models of Vesuvius and eye-witness reports. Photographs and  PowerPoint presentations of volcanic scenery and famous volcanoes around the world were displayed and presented. Students even created international aid agencies whose responsibility is to support countries affected by natural disasters. There was an exhibition of  earthquake-proof buildings, allowing visitors to test them at a ‘shake table’ and talk about the contents of the earthquake survival kit. Students showed visitors igneous rock samples, e.g. pumice, while others acted  as ‘guides’, and informed visitors about the exhibits and took them on a tour.
