Translation in Macedonian of Olalla, a short story by the Scottish novelist Robert Louis Stevenson

We are proud to present the translation in Macedonian of Olalla, a short story by the Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer Robert Louis Stevenson. It was first published in the Christmas 1885.

This translation is a result of more than 30 hours of effort as part of the CAS experience of our senior Sara Golakova, who worked together with her mentor, our librarian and Extended Essay Coordinator, Lidija Tasevska. In the words of Sara,  Olalla is her favorite short story, and it was a pleasure that she was allowed to translate it for CAS and publish it so that the community can enjoy it as much as she did. Sara believes that this translation was crucial for developing her skill as a translator because she is hoping to continue translating other stories when she is in college.
