A Quarantine Song' - poem by Darko Stavrev

Dear Nova community, today we share with you yet another poem written by our very own Darko Stavrev. Darko is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program student from Grade 11, and a YES alumni scholar as well. He wrote this poem during the national poetry month. We hope you like it as much as we do.

A Quarantine Song

Hold on my friend,

For this madness will end

And then I’ll give you my hand

Cause we’re all made out of sand.

Together we are strong

But cripple when alone.

Is it here where I belong?

I just hope I’m not a clone.

Sticks and stones may break me.

Wait!! I’m still drinking my afternoon tea.

It’s not fair and just,

But we must!

Hold on, I said,

For we’ll rise ahead!
