Cub Scouts gather to celebrate holiday season

On December 4, Cub Scout Pack 2187 gathered for a Pack Meeting at NOVA Elementary School. "Celebrate" was the meeting's theme to honor the season of hope and good thoughts toward others.  One of the 12 points of the Scout Law is "Cheerful." This month, the Cub Scouts explored how to be cheerful, even when things don't go our way. Scouts and their families painted ceramic ornaments with guests from Keramika Cafe and learned about proper flag care from the U.S. Marine Corps Detachment. To spread cheer, Scouts serenaded the Pack with "Jingle Bells" and "Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer" and heard from the Marines about the Toys for Tots campaign and the importance of giving to others. To promote the merits of good sportsmanship and fair play, the Cub Scouts played "Blob" and "Ballooney" to understand how to best to work as a team. Thank you to our guests and all that contributed!

We also recognized four Cub Scouts (Neo, Marx, Theo and Justin) for earning their Bobcat rank at the December meeting. Congratulations Cub Scouts!
