Teacher Advisory Groups

Each Middle School student will be assigned to a TAG (Teacher Advisory Group).  The student will report to this group in the assigned room by 8:00 am each morning.  Often times, these fifteen minutes will be used for DEAR (Drop Everything and Read), but when information needs to be given or gathered, this time will serve that purpose as well.

The TAG teacher acts as an advisor to each of his or her TAG students and should be the first point of contact by parents for general school issues.  TAG teachers keep track of attendance, behavior issues, and general well-being of each of their TAG students.  It is hoped that when students have school issues, they will feel comfortable enough to approach their TAG teacher as an adult who can advise and help them.
