CREDITS:  

As NOVA high school students can sign-up for 6 to 7 credits per year, consistent with the school’s graduation requirements. One credit indicates an average of 165 and 220 minutes of instructional time per week over a full year. Half credit indicates an average of 165 and 220 minutes of instructional time per semester.  

4-YEAR DISTRIBUTION OF CREDITS:

LANGUAGE ARTS  (4 credits)

4 credits in English required (a maximum of 2 transfer credits from the ELD program are allowed)

Additional 4 credits in your Macedonian/Albanian Native Language required

MODERN LANGUAGES  (2 credits)

A minimum of one modern foreign language studied in two consecutive years or two languages studied for one year is required

MATHEMATICS  (4 credits)

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (1 credit)

NATURAL SCIENCES (3 credits)

SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES (3 credits)

Social Sciences Foundational Program (grades 9 and 10)

FINE AND PERFORMING ARTS (2 credits)

PHYSICAL EDUCATION (2 credits)

(a maximum of 2 transfer credits from competitive school sports are allowed)
