Preparation for International Days in Elementary School

We take you inside the art studio, where we are preparing for our international exhibition. Through creative methods and different painting techniques we introduce students’ visual experiences intended to engage the audiences’ grasp of the South American spirit. Playing with colors that depict Brazilian carnival, we created masks in the spirit of the ancient Mayans, created balance with the Tree of Life, and visited Peru through the traditional costumes of the Mola. Starting with an ancient map, and ending with the prints of The Gate of the Sun, constructed by the ancient Tiwanacu culture of Bolivia, we designed movement of traditional Bolivian fabric and symbols of their thoughts, ideas, and dreams through the use of the Sun and feather pattern.
