Tufts University visit to NOVA High School

Tuesday, September 20, marked the first of hopefully many visits to our campus by a US university representative, namely, Ms. Yulia Korovikov, the Assistant Director of Admissions at Tufts University. Ms. Korovikov met with students in our upperclassmen division, addressing several key components of the overall application process as well as the specifics of a Tufts's application. Sharing her invaluable insights into the makings of an excellent personal statement, Ms. Korovikov also addressed the reality of applying to a highly selective school, particularly looking at the makings of what constitutes a good "fit" for Tufts (being a nice person, for one). Following the interactive presentation, students had a chance to ask questions, and address their own concerns/ideas/thoughts about the US application process. We are highly appreciative to International ACAC (Jen Simons in particular) for making this visit a reality, and to Ms. Korovikov for taking the time to plan a meaningful visit to a part of the world that does not tend to get visits. Looking forward to the next one!
